Using "knitting theory," haven't we assumed that "formless information" not only preexists the physical world which is formed from it but also that it is independently self-existing? Is it not the case that there is no formless information world of EL apart from the physical world - no knitting apart from the cable? Is it not the case that formless information and the physical world - the cable and the knitting - arise dependently and therefore have no separate, independent existence?
We can be sure insofar as it is the only logical explanation. EL is "self-existing" ... although the word exist is dangerous in this context as I explain in my book on consciousness. Your question makes sense in the kingdom of separateness, where things have a beginning and an end. The kingdom of non-separateness, EL, has neither a beginning nor an end. This alone suffices to understand that EL is the basis of the universe. It "existed" before the universe came into being.
